Nigeria Voter Compass is a non-partisan tool designed to help voters discover which political parties and candidates best match their views on important policy issues.
By focusing on policies rather than personalities or party affiliations, we aim to promote more substantive political discourse and help citizens engage more meaningfully in the democratic process.
Our goal is to ensure that every Nigerian voter can make an informed choice at the ballot box.
How It Works
Answer Policy Questions
Respond to 30-60 questions covering key policy areas like economy, security, education, healthcare, and governance. Rate each issue's importance to you.
We Calculate Your Match
Our algorithm compares your answers with the stated positions of political parties and candidates, weighted by how important each issue is to you.
See Your Results
View your percentage match with each party and candidate. Explore detailed breakdowns to see where you agree and disagree on specific issues.
Share & Compare
Share your results with friends and family. Discuss the issues that matter most to you and encourage others to take the quiz.
Our Methodology
Question Sourcing
Our policy questions are developed by researchers and subject matter experts, covering issues that are relevant to Nigerian voters and clearly differentiate between party positions.
Stance Assignment
Party and candidate positions are determined through analysis of official manifestos, public statements, legislative voting records, and policy documents.
Match Calculation
Your match percentage is calculated by comparing your answers with party/candidate positions, weighted by how important you rated each issue. Higher importance = greater impact on your final score.
Neutrality & Integrity
We maintain strict non-partisanship. Questions are worded neutrally, and all parties are given equal treatment in our analysis and presentation.
Your Privacy Matters
Anonymous Data
We use random session IDs. Your responses are never linked to your identity.
Research Use
Aggregated, anonymous data may be shared with researchers for academic purposes only.
Data Control
You can request deletion of your data at any time using your session ID.
